Property Overview

The Butte-Antelope property, is at times referred to as the Lead Belt Mine due to its proximity to Leadbelt Creek.
The property spans 120 acres and encompasses all of the workings of the old Antelope, the Lead Belt and various other old workings related to the two mines. The property is relatively high country for the area, at 7300'.
Discovered in 1889-1890, the mine reached its peak in 1930 when the Lead Belt Mines Co shipped 7500 tons during peak season. In this year the company recovered 57 ounces of gold, 42,575 ounces of silver, 3996 lbs of copper and 660,000 lbs of lead.
The primary ore from the mine was a high-grade galena which according to reports gave anywhere from 51 ounces to 300 ounces of silver per ton.
There lower Leadbelt Mine boasts over 2000' of subsurface development in the way of drifts and winzes.
Copper is an overlooked commodity at the site, especially during the high development years. This was largely due to logistics. Getting ore out to Hailey for processing was expensive and took several days in transport. Copper was reported at 4% per ton on average.
Good 4WD roads allow good access. Remote, but poised for large scale development with minimal permitting required.
