Property Overview
The Rawhide Mine is a series of adits and shafts cut on a grouping of parallel faults. The main working (see map) intersected 3 faults and worked same. These faults occur roughly every 50'. The host is limestone, gold, silver and copper are found in appreciable quantities in veins of quartz and hematite.
The property has been held since 1949 by the same owners, some leasing has been done. 120 tons of ore were shipped in 1957 containing Gold, Copper and Galena. The property is noted for extremely high value dumps and stopes exposing fault veins with very little work completed.
Surveyors measured the dumps on site and took assay samples from multiple locations on the dumps. Average return across the three dumps is: 0.4 oz/AU Ton, Trace AG, 139lbs CU/Ton.
There is a rough horizontal mapping of the workings from 1968. Shafts and lower levels are not reported or accounted for.
Surface material from the dumps showed high values in copper and some native gold occuring on calcite/quartz.
80 acres that encompasses the entire workings including the apex of the vein. Surface material assays indicate 93,701,846 lbs of Copper and 94,384 oz of Gold to be recovered. There is no accounting for material inside the workings.
Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. does offer mining consultation services and assistance with permits for a small fee.
