Property Overview
The Royal John Mine is an expansive complex of development encompassing 76 acres of lode mineral rights. The property has a history dating back to the turn of the 19th century. The Royal John is known for production of Copper and Silver with a small gold byproduct. There is also a blocked deposit of 75,000 tons of high grade zinc and lead
Copper averages 9% per ton and silver is averaged at 6.3 oz per ton. Gold occurs in sporadic high grade pockets. There are documented occurrences of Uranium but these deposits have not been mapped or defined.
The property, with its well documented rich material, has only been worked intermittently due to its remote location and access. All of which were major problems prior to 1950.
The property was most recently permitted for reworking of the tails at the mill in 2010. The mill dumps were reclaimed and the mine portals were gated. Open cuts and stopes were filled. There are an estimated 2,500’ of sub surface development. This has been mapped, documented and verified by Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc.® surveyors.
There are excellent county roads to the property which will allow for simple logistics. There is an old mill that dates back to 1929 and was built by ASCARO. It processed 200 tons per day.
The property would be best developed by a small team that could map and drill the site to determine the current valuation of the blocked reserves and define a plan for extraction.
Gold Rush Expeditions, Inc. does offer mining consultation services and assistance with permits for a small fee.
